Teens on Stage presents Grease. Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Directed and musical direction by Lynne Czjaka with choreography by Jordan Stroly.

Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys’ and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as “Greased Lightnin’,” “It’s Raining on Prom Night” and “Alone at the Drive-In Movie,” recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.

The Teens on Stage program offers a high-caliber theatre experience for teenaged performers, providing a safe, inclusive space to refine their craft and explore more mature themes in their work. Participants are selected through auditions and are expected to commit to a rigorous schedule of after-school and weekend rehearsals, fostering responsibility and preparation. Building on skills introduced in Kids on Stage, Teens on Stage prepares maturing artists for potential careers in the arts through high-quality productions that match the standard of Mainstage shows. Past productions, including Alice by Heart, Urinetown, bare: A Pop Opera, Be More Chill, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, and Into the Woods highlight the program’s commitment to artistic excellence and meaningful storytelling.
